Are you using the wireless part of it or hard wired?
1. wireless, try to run the router with a unprotected connection "no wep"
2. hard wired, make sure you have the cables plugged to it correctly.

There is a uplink port on the back, be sure your pc is not plugged into that port.
If it is right, you could have a bad router maybe. Kinda hard to give a 100% diag. or something you cant see or touch. Just give suggestions to what the problem could be.

| Uplink port is link a normal port but is the only slot you can plug to another router to use more then one or a network hub.

| One last thing, i doubt this is it but it is worth a shot, try to see if you modem has filtering. Read up on it online or what ever to see. If it does, turn it off by logging into it. Then try your router.

Who cares, if it works you will eat those words.
Anything is possible a this point and worth a try before buying a new router.

Well it all fails, how about borrowing one from a friend and see if the same thing happens or bring it to their house and try hooking it on there machine and see if it doesnt connect.
If it dont then it is a dead router. GAME OVER.
