Well, I use Vb.net and my question is: Can you make a trainer for a normal game (those you buy on cd or download)? If yes, Any good link or tools?

Yes, basically the same way as you'd do it with other languages.

Look into the System.Diagnostics.Process class to obtain the ID of the process. (or you can use the API, but the managed way is probably simpler in this case.)
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.diagnostics.process.aspx

(hint: Process.GetProcessesByName)

Then just use OpenProcess
http://pinvoke.net/default.aspx/user32/OpenProcess.html

and Read/WriteProcessMemory as you want.

You might want to take a look at my C# Memory Edit Class as well.
There's a compiled download as well incase you have trouble understanding C# (it's very similar to VB.Net though, so you shouldn't have too much trouble). Just follow the instructions on how to import the DLL and you should be sweet. As for finding the addresses (I haven't updated the class to search memory yet) use Cheat Engine.
