2 Anti-viruses installed at once isn't wise... will give you more problems and not necessarily more protection

Look, you said you had the security suit, which is anti-virus too, so don't try to BS me. You asked for help and just trying to change you're words.
Waste of time, let someone else 'attempt' to help ya.

| He's saying you have 2 anti-virus programs which isn't a wise choice. It will cause more problems than they're worth. If you have Avast! Security Suit, then there is no need for AVG. I would recommend replacing AVG with Ad-Aware because it's not an AV but is a great scanning/software removal tool.

If you want help around here I suggest you drop the attitude.
If you'd quit PMSing you'd realize we're trying to tell you 2 anti-viruses will interfere and be possibly less secure, or annoying and ineffective at least.
To best answer your question, if you've recently done a full system scan and everything comes back clean, you should be fine. If you have a lot of malware issues, don't even think about making online purchases until you've corrected your surfing habits. A security suite won't keep you safe if you get malware in between scans.

Look: Just never use 2 AV softwares at the same time.
They interfere with each other and may even crash your PC.
And you are never safe. You never know who is watching.
You never know if I'm behind ur windo...wait.. I didn't just say that?
aHAHAHhaha

I had found in the past avast! and AVG work together perfectly. Still, I wouldn't mark a computer as safe unless you had either NOD32 or Kaspersky.
It's probably best to use an alternate crap computer/laptop that hasn't been used for anything other than secure activities for credit card information. But, other than that, as long as you're running Firefox - and don't download and run random crap off of porn sites - your computer should be safe. I wouldn't trust any computer running IE, however. IE has way too many security holes to be safe.
I remember i had an old, uber-shit computer on which I used Internet Explorer, and eventually the Program Files folder ended up looking like system32.

yes they will work perfectly together until one finds a virus...
this virus software say AVG will put the virus in its virus vault. but then say if you allso had norton virus scanner it would find it in AVG's vault and then place it in its own vault.
this process will repeat itself over and over making your computer run nice and slow and may allso crash eventually.
____
but in regards to the original question your computer will never be 100% safe from viruses, tojans, adware, spyware etc solong as its connected to the internet.
if youve ran a full pc scan and it came up with nothing then it should be good to use.
there are steps you can take to prevent aquiring viruses in the first place because if you never get them then there never a problem.
i suggest you:
1) use firefox as it has the best built in protection.
2) be carefull where you download from
3) NEVER turn your firewall, antivirus etc off.
4) install a linux OS. if your new to linux i suggest Ubuntu. i currently duel boot XP and UBuntu and it works a treat.

Technically none of the shit will make your pc safe.
You just have to learn to not run everything you see or go to bogus webpages, know when your pc is running weird and try the best you can to keep shit from infecting it.
Every single person on this site has some kind of shit in their pc if it is connected to the internet.
If anyone doesnt think thats true, your very naive.
