so, i reformatted my hard drive.
all my steam games are re downloading.
all except half-life. for half-life it says "pre-load complete."
it prompts me to re-buy the game when i try to download.
how do i fix this?

You buy it? Did you re-buy the other games? A lot of people can't help you here, because not if any people knows how "steam" works.

Does steam have a forum or a support or FAQ section? I really don't think this would help. Did you move the games from our corrupted HD to a flash drive and are now re-moving them back in?

But I thought if you downloaded from the website, you have to pay, why didn't you have to pay for the other things?

Well then if you could for that, go to the half-life game and see if there is something that says that it can be downloaded multiple times or something.
