Hey,
I need to recover my files from my usb flash drive cause all the data just disappeared when I unplugged it. I've found a couple of programs on google for recovery but none of them are free. I can't find serials for them either. Could someone help me with this?
Thanks

If the files are corrupted, I don't think you can recover them. Next time, instead of just unplugging the drive, go to my computer, find the drive
right click it, then click eject.

Flash memory... its gone mate... you might find remnants of the files with forensic software, but it won't be anything useful unfortunately.
In response to what brenden said, this depends entirely on the configuration of your PC. Some system have the removable driver optimized for 'quick removal' whereas some have them optimized for 'performance' with write cachine usually enabled.
I'm guessing yours was set to the latter, and therefore the data wasn't properly saved before the drive got removed.
Easy way to remedy this, ready for next time you use the stick for transferring data. Insert your pen stick, and right-click on it in 'My Computer'. Go to the hardware tab and choose 'optimize for quick removal' and then you will be good to go.
If you can't change this for whatever reason, ie. some corrupted OS settings (seen if before) then just do what brenden said initially, and rightclick on its 'tray icon' and click safely remove to do it.
