How do I delete files from a disk that i cant see?

I have a disk and it seems to have some files on it it obviously does becuz the computer is showing me that it is very full of data but the one problem is I want to delete the files but I cant see them......

I tried formatting the disk and absolutely nothing happened ........


what the hell do I do!!!!!!

Its a CD-R..

that means its only rewritable once and you cant delete anything on it anymore..

Stuff like CD-RW, you can delete your files again and again and rewrite many times..
