Check if other browsers are working. Try using IE too. If both FF and IE aren't working, try using Flock or w/e that new browser is (Or just some random, not so popular browser). Chances are if you have a virus of some sort that stops FF from working, it will also stop IE from working. The other random browser should still work though if its a virus.
You can also check your FF settings. Check and make sure your not trying to connect through some sorta proxy.

@SaviourFamily~~~ie7 and firefox doesn't work so i've been using safari.
@92Garfield~~~No the setting is set to directly connect to the internet.
@MrQuidam~~~The chances of it being a virus is slim,this happened after i like i guess randomly reboot my pc. An example would be a power outage.
~~~I tried reinstall firefox and ccleaner but nothing has worked.
your windows might have been damaged while it randomly turned off to many times..
Try popping in your OS CD and do a repair of it..
IE and FireFox, if you have something setup with a proxy. It will make them not work.
Ok, if an OS re-install has been done, then your prob may be gone.
However, sometimes repair installs (in-place installs) can sometimes make things worse, and you end up no better of then you started.
For anyone with probs connecting to the internet like Leena, whereby more than one program doesn't seem to want to work, it could be to do with the network connection itself. IE, how windows deals with connecting to the network/internet itself.
Try the following to reset the winsock catalogue, and the windows firewall configuration (after which you can turn it off again should you have a 3rd party firewall/IS Suite):
Go to start -> run, type "cmd" without the quotes.
In this command prompt, type "netsh winsock reset"
It will give a confirmation.
Now type "netsh firewall reset"
You may get a confirmation, you may not. Its entirely dependant on the windows install...service packs etc. The first command is the main one.
Restart the PC, if you have any custom, static IP's/default gateways etc then you may have to re-type them in to the TCP/IP properties dialog.
Also, if you are ever asked by anyone to perform a network connection reset (they suck but whatever...) instead of 'right-clicking' and 'repairing', go once again to the command prompt, and type "ipconfig /release" and then when its completed, type "ipconfig /renew". This is a much more precise and complete way of renewing your IP address configuration on the network adapter.
Finally, to resolve any name resolution problems with DNS (domain name system/service), go to the command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns" to force windows to clear its name resolution cache.
This is useful in situations where you can reach a site/server by IP but not by name.
**Above, I used the command switch "/" in the prompts, but you can also use the standard mini-switch too "-", a hyphen in other words, which works equally as well on a lot of commands.
This would be step two if OS REPAIR didnt work
because from randomly turning off to many times, windows might have ecountered many problems, thus damaging some files..
An OS repair is a big step.
Performing some simple steps to try to remedy the problem with small fixes is the logical first choice.
Restarting windows won't damage files unless something is going to cause it.
Something like faulty hardware (bad HDD, RAM etc) or some malicious software
If you can't boot into windows at all thats the not the end of the world, you have microsofts lovel recovery console (for what good it is) and all manner of boot discs. Failing that you take out the HDD, rig it up to another machine, decant your data off and re-install fresh. Best bet anyday!
