| Whenever I try and play swfs with it, it always says my security setting do not allow it, and it shows the old windows 98 lock and key thing in a warning box. |

I think .swf files can contain viruses. I think your computer is heavely protected... I think you have to change some settings to fix this.
Look for Options, Look for security, look for lowering it.
