i just wanted to ask that my friend is selling a computer (the cpu case +monitor) for 800$ he just buyed it 2 weeks ago and for some reason he wants money this computer has
intel pentium 4
2.8GHz processor
704 mb of ram
flat screen monitor
80 GB hard disk
128 graphic card
windows XP (original)
CD-rom
DVD-rom
floppy drive
speakers too

can i have your suggestions?

Agreed. It's a very old, outdated system. Anything more than $150-200 for that is a complete rip off.

EDIT: What's the size and refresh rate of the monitor?

Intel Quad Core 2.4GHz
2 x 1gb Crucial Ballistix
Intel Brand DP35DP Motheboard
650w Antec Trio PowerSupply
160gb Hard Drive
Antec 900 Case
nVidia 8800GT 512mb
DVD ROM
3x 120mm fans
1x 200mm fans

---Buy it and your going to get hosed...---

You could probably build anything from a wicked gamers computer to an extreme graphics computer to a all day server/wicked gamers computer to an anything computer....

$800 will get you something close to the best stuff on the market right now, your friend got ripped off, especially if he/she built it him/her-self (probably bought it pre-built though). The computer is going to be obsolete (in terms of gaming) in 3 years at the most. I would price it sub-$200.
