I've been looking into Cryptography and I got curious about something.
So we've got Alice and Bob .
Let's say that they're flipping a coin over the internet or whatever.
Alice sends a falsely encrypted message (garble) to Bob.
Bob believes it's valid, and reveals the result of the coin flip.
Alice, in her malicious nature, finds a key so that it fits the result of the coin.
~~
Mathematically:
G = Garble,
R = Result,
K = Key
Alice sends G
Bob gets G
Bob sends R
Alice gets R
K(G) = R
Solve backwards, Algebraically maybe?
Alice gets K
Alice sends K
K(G) = R
Bob gets K
Bob believes she predicted correctly.
~~~
Is there something wrong with that methodology, or have there been preventions, or what?
