is anyone able to tell me what software is the best for compressing DVD movies down to a normal DVD size, 4.2gb? i need to backup one of my movies, which is 8gb and dvdfab makes it lose quite a bit of quality.

all help is apreciated.

Hmm, I know H264 would be your best bet, but I'm not sure if every DVD player supports it.

I'm pretty sure DVD shrink can do that. I assume it can my it's name :O

i know dvd shrink, but it's sort of old and i was wondering if there was anything newer. doesn't matter anyway i've already done it and it doesn't look too bad.
