Cheat Engine

I play one of my older games with vista.
And i also have a X-fi card installed so to get it to work I have to use
Alchemy X-fi to get the EAX sound to work properly,which works fine.
But when I try to use directx mess i get program cant initialize,is there a workaround for this thanx in advanced

Do you get the error when you run CE or what?

It could be an anti-debug routine.
Start directx-mess as always, configure all keys, and click apply. Now CLOSE cheat engine.

Now you can click on OK to run the game and if it was the debugger that was causing problems it'll work now

After i close CE and press OK to start the game.I get
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142).
Click OK to terminate application.Everything works fine as long as i dont start X-fi Alchemy prior to starting any thing else
