ACTools would probably be a better bet, since it's simply a web application (web apps can't access process lists).
If you still want to do it in Python though, look into importing SendInput.

I don't trust on ACTOOLS, last time i used, the script i used was fine, but it was sending all my info to a IRC channel named #ACTOOL(Weird numbers) at server ultra**** not remember that well..

You can turn off the IRC feature in ACTools.
