When the PSU is on, it is sending power to the motherboard.

When that happens, generally all motherboards will have a small surface LED that lights up, to tell you it isn't the motherboard.

Contrary to the LED turning on, it can stay off; which would signify it being a broken motherboard.

ill check that when i get home today

update: i don't know where the light would be but i would assume it would only light up if the pc was turned on and im pretty sure it's all connected right, need to bring it to some professionals...

try changing the pwer supply
look at the ending of the power supply that goes to your motherboard (should be the biggest one) take it out look if the plastic is burned a bit (a bit brown) if it is your power supply is killed (if it's not it could also be, that u see it like that is rare)
