Well, I have these two very old and crappy computers. They are both the same model and they have 250 mb of RAM. If I remember correctly a desktop has 4 inputs to put RAM into and I remember from a while ago that both of these computers use 2 of the 4. I was wondering if I could take 2 out of 1 of the computers and put it in the other for 500 RAM?

If they're the exact same model, then they have the same RAM type, so yes it will work.

If the RAM is the same type and there's enough slots, it should work. Unless of course the board can't allocate the amount of RAM you're putting in, but that's rare.

Chances of a couple old computers' RAM working in a newer computer may work, but it could also make your current RAM run at a lower frequency.
