Well its been a year now i had this computer.. had no big problems with it
But today while i started my computer, i just opened Internet explorer and it said CPU usage 51%..
i have 1 gig of ram or 1024mb..
AMD Athlon 3500+, 2.21 Ghz
I dont know whats wrong, but is it look like theres too many processes?
I've closed what i can but all of the others like svchost.exe and etc, i dotn think i should end..
Yes i did go to msconfig and disable any unwanted programs
Is it that my pc isnt running at its fastest speed?
Here are some pics.. One more thing it says 513/2460mb but my pc says it only has 1gb of ram.. Any help?

It says 50%, it goes 4-50 a couple of times....
532/1024 .. is 50%
Yes i know 48 processes is alot..
I dont know if you can regonise any ones that arent suppose to be there

Your RAM usage is not your CPU usage. If it were, my computer would be over 100% all the time.

For your amount of processes, and how much they're using each, it's normal.

Thats without antivirus / firewall on. On a computer with 1.93 GB ram, and a pentium 4 overclocked cpu. Almost fresh install of windows xp with most of the crap on it removed.

That was meant to show you what the necessary processes are the rest you just look up your programs. If you would make a list in quote form like i did i might look at what your processes are and tell if there is anything in there that is a virus. Close as many programs as you can short of antivirus / firewall if you post a list in quote form.

Here is mine just after startup. Clamwin + Comodo just installed just need a few antispyware programs and intrusion detection.
