Now that was where you made your mistake lol. I advise against starting ASM as a first language.

Visual Basic, Bit of Delphi and Bit of C++.
I don't really use those cause it takes too long to load on my computer.
I mainly use vb. But Im forced to use C++ for those hook bypass. >.>

Comparing HTML to a programming language is not really comparable lol.. As for learning an actual programming language, it depends on what you play, what you want to make, and how much time you plan to actually invest on learning.
If you play Maple or some other crap game like that, you will probably want to go with C++ to create injectable hooks for hacks, bypasses, etc.
If you play other games that don't have protection, and just a simple trainer would be needed, any language that can access and use the Win32 API will suffice for this need. Again, I would still suggest C++, but other languages can do just fine as well.

HTML is a markup language as opposed to programming language. If you already know HTML you could play with JavaScript (totally different from Java by the way) which is a programming language (albeit limited).
I would recommend C (play C, not C++) as that is the normal introductory language in university courses (even for those with no experience). For object oriented shit (C++) I would recommend Java instead (again, standard course material for learning object orientation).
For web stuff, PHP is also very good, and easy to use too. Get a free web host that has PHP and start playing around. The documentation on PHP.net is ownage too. I use awardspace.com which is slow but free and powerful (comes with databases too).
Good luck!
