Here are some questions before I think about switching to Linux.
Well one question really.
Will Crossover allow me to use VB.Net?

Disregard that idiot... you will not be able to use vb.net.. Vb .net = microsoft...
Microsoft = WINDOWS
You might be able to open it with Wine... but i doubt you can compile...
Im curious, why do you want to use Linux?

I guess thats true, but most people don't know wut they are getting into.
They here Linux is what the hackers use. Yes.. HACKERS use linux. Crackers... not so much...
I just want him to make sure he isn't getting into anything he will regret.
Anyway, Ubuntu is sort of like Windows. Good step forward for people who dont know linux.
Gl!

There are viruses for Linux, just not nearly as many as there are for Windows.

I've yet to find a virus
I think dual-booting is the best idea. Just have fun with at first, try learning everything about the terminal before you move onto programming in unsupport languages. I acutally suggestion learning C/C++ but thats just me.

Well, for one, Wikipedia has a list of Linux viruses. I'm certain there's more.

Can you upload the one for Windows... oh 10terabytes in size? oh hundreds pop up every day? Homemade ones that we dont even know about?
I rather use linux... You have a SLIGHT SLIGHT (then divide that by 10000) chance of getting a virus....
