did you register the dll?

using IE7 with VB6 is like trying to ride a horse bigger than your ass...

Start > Run

write

"regedit"

Press F3(Repeat Search or start one) or Control + F or Find.

write "ieframe.dll"

after you find, you may see this at the end of the value.

"system32/ieframe.dll\1"

double click, and delete the "\1".

re-try at VB, and everything should works fine.

The method XxOsirisxX posted works. It's basically the only known method to fix the issue as Microsuck killed the ieframe dll for VB6 on purpose as VB6 was dropped from support before IE7 was released.

Seen here:
http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/showpost.aspx?postid=843101&siteid=1&sb=0&d=1&at=7&ft=11&tf=0&pageid=1

A reg key file you can make to fix the issue was posted there which is:

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{EAB22AC0-30C1-11CF-A7EB-0000C05BAE0B}]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{EAB22AC0-30C1-11CF-A7EB-0000C05BAE0B}\1.1]
@="Microsoft Internet Controls"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{EAB22AC0-30C1-11CF-A7EB-0000C05BAE0B}\1.1\0]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{EAB22AC0-30C1-11CF-A7EB-0000C05BAE0B}\1.1\0\win32]
@="C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\ieframe.dll"

I had this issue myself and IE7 caused it. Others have suggested that VS2003+ has also caused the issue, but I can't confirm that myself.
