|
I have been basicaly leaching hacks for the past year or so, and now i realize that nothing great is going to get done unless everyone in the comunity tries to better themselfs and learn about what they are doing so I decided that I wanted to learn a programming language. I have Chosen C# to learn first because I have been told it was the easist to start with, (besides VB, but I'm pretty sure VB doesnt work out so well).
Anyways, I was sent here from the MapleStory section so hopefuly someone here can help me. I have little to none programming experience and i was wondering if someone would mind getting me started learning or pointing me in the dirrection of where I should go for help.

Nice isn't it...
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lBbuD6o6dFQ
Here's a FRAPS'd movie of my old DX project
It parses an encrypted index file for the game I'm hacking on...
The file contains all data i need to render the map...
It doesn't look like much at that time since it's just a wireframe of height data with textures on top but it's just a old movie to give you an idea of what's possible...
Just to show that a rendering/physics engine can be done in C#
It's not to slow as most people claim...

Why don't this work?
| Code: | private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
label1.Text == textBox1.text;
} |

Unlike VB6, C# is CaPs SenSitIve
it's not .text but .Text
| Code: | private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
label1.Text = textBox1.Text;
}

VB6 is caps sensitive as well, and will auto correct anything you type that does not follow the correct syntax. Such as:
Text1.Text
If you typed:
Text1.text
The IDE will auto correct it to the correct case.
