I recently was forced into purchasing a new laptop, which of course is running Vista Home Premium.
This OS itself isn't bad so far although I have heard about the capabilities of Vista whether or not they're true. Confused

Anyway to the question. I wanted to know if I was to run a program on Vista, which is not pirated except I have not purchased it or anything. Would vista detect this possibly report it? Or worse cripple the computer, which I think happens if you only have a pirated version of Vista.

Not pirated but not purchased? How does that work...But i doubt Vista would "Report" you.

mhm i think u bought a vista with ur laptop but u only have acces to use visto on that laptop so its legal and wont be reported (its just an usully OEM version Smile

Vista will not do this, it is also illegal if they do so. Right to Privacy, I believe.
