|
|
Mkay, so I woke up, turned computer on, opened Mozilla, the splash screen had reset to the default, I also don't have any of my bookmarks and and my noscript has been reset as well. Anyone know why? How to fix this? Wouldn't be a problem if I didn't lose bookmarks.
This has happened before but I just ignored it.

There are online services that can host your bookmarks for synchronizing them between computers. You can also use it as a backup service when this thing happens.

PC, and no. I only do that when I defrag which isn't often anymore. Takes too long to defrag 100GB.

Yep, lost them all except 2 under the back, forward, refresh, etc stuff.
Thanks for the link, had no clue it was an add-on. It'll be installed right now.

Unless Opera can get NoScript, I'm staying with Firefox.

Opera has a script/plugin disabler built-in, though it might not be as convenient without site-specific allowing.

Disables javascript on pages.
Eg: meatttspin/rickroll won't work unless you manually let it.

isn't there a function to turn javascript off in firefox?
and what version are you using? I suggest you not use Firefox 3 Beta 1 (or any test firefox 3)
umm scan for viruses?
save all your bookmarks in IE (if you have it) and when it happens just import the bookmarks from IE
