| ok so i inserted my xp cd into the drive wile running vista as my OS. Now i need to be able to install xp but the thing is that it wont allow me to click " install windows xp" its disabled so i cannot install xp any other way to install xp?

1. Insert Disk into PC
2. Restart PC
3. On Boot screen press F8 (or what ever is your Bott setup) key
4. Choose Boot from CD
5. Press any key quickly
6. Keep going until you come upon a screen that says "press F8 to agree" on the bottom
7. Press F8 to agree
8. Kepp going until it gives you three options.
9. Choose Format NSTF File (do not pick 'Format NSTF Files Quick)
10. Wait about 1 to 2 hours to funn install Windows XP.
11. Come back to CEF and thank me.

I disagree, a quick format will work just as well and take a few minutes as opposed to a few hours. The only thing a long format will do is waste time and cause unnecessary stress on the hard drive.

| about quick format, it takes only few minutes, as opposite to slow format which rly takes 2 hours(was stupit when i picked it!) but yeah, just format and install XP

you also might need to change your primary boot device to your CD/DVD drive if it won't boot off of it.
