|
|
i'm not usually a person who can't get things to work, but after a few hours of searching and trying things, i didn't succeed.
i'm trying to get more audio input choice/options, like "what you hear" and "stero mix" for example. my realtek hd audio driver and it doesn't seem to let you have these options. i searched for this tons of times and lots of people seemed to have the same problem. i want to be able to record the sound of games and stuff with programs, like Fraps, without having to use another program that records the game sound.
yes i have tried downloading latest drivers but no difference.
if you could help me i would really apreciate it. =D
*BTW i'm using an ASUS A9rp laptop with:
a Realtek HD Audio integrated sound card, which is part of ATI chipset i think. _________________

Knowing which sound card and motherboard type you have would help wonderfully.
Edit: This program for motherboard, and This program for sound card. Sorry for 2 programs, Everest doesn't like to give mobo info, and CPU-Z doesn't give sound info.
Edit again: If you have it without using these, excellent. _________________

I'd rather be completely sure, sorry. Could you download the CPU-Z. (First one in above) It needs no installing, just run it, click mainboard, and put a picture on here. _________________

k thanks for those programs i'll try it now cause i'm not completely sure myself. i was looking for something like this but didn't exactly know what to look for.
EDIT: ok here we go, learnt something about my computer lol. if it was a desktop computer it would be much easier but oh well lol.
btw thanks for spending your time to try and help me =D
EDIT 2: btw in the everest program it tells me that my sound device is "ATI SB450 - High Definition Audio Controller" so i might search that in the meantime. btw does that also mean i can use different drivers instead of realtek? just wondering. and last thing lol, i'm not usually a noob at computers, just some hardware that i'm inexperienced with can be a problem. xD _________________

It would be lovely if their download section would load.
Also, for future screenshots, you can hold ctrl and press prnt scrn to take a shot of only the active window. _________________

btw i got this from the everest program too that lists my audio input and output, which is all realtek.
if i had a different driver for my sound would that give me more input options? _________________

Just set a restore point. Rather not uninstall, if this is worse means you lost previous. With a restore point you can switch right back. _________________

No, and you may need your chipset drivers as well then. _________________
