i know this game is very lame but what program is it made with? http://kynto.com/news.php and how do u make a java text based game?u need php?

That game is Java, all you need to make a Java game is Java.
If you want an MMO then you need a SQL database too.

You don't have to use MySQL. If you make the game yourself, you can store the data any way you want.
