ok...

so i have reinstalled xp now, but for some reason, my sound doesnt work now.

it says i dont have any sound drivers or something like that,

anyone know how i can fix this?

i mean where i can get the right driver for my pc?

ask me if you need more specified info, if you know you can help.

when you know, google ' <sound device name> xp drivers '

well it is integrated in my motherboard, but i think it is some kind of realtek.

i tried some realtek drivers randomly but all the installs failed.

Start ---> Right click on My Computer ---> Properties ---> Hardware tab ---> Device Manager and make a screenshot of the "Sound, video and game controllers section please.

ive already tried that one, it failed installing, but thanks anyway.

sorry for it being in swedish but, ljud is sound and,
äldre is older drivrutiner is drivers.

nope, it's not really a specified computer, *home built* pc,

altough i still bought it from a private company.

ok well when you click your driver for it there should be an option to repair it, try that?

try download the realtek hd audio driver off their site. and btw you should probably have a disc with your drivers on it.

and one thing i found out, when i play a game i can hear music and stuff, what the hell?

Okay, so the drivers work just fine. What sound DOESN'T work? Playing movies/music in programs?

have you tried uninstalling your driver in device manager and then reseting and reinstalling it with the latest driver?
