Hey all,

Are there any tutorials and/or does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts or whatever... on how one would go about looking for something like - does the player have a weapon.

In Singularity you get a weapon called the Seeker - where you can guide the bullet which it totally fun, but the game limits you to having the weapon in only a few short sections of the game. If you change weapons, you drop it, and after a certain point shortly after getting it, you're forced to drop it and it disappears.

So how would someone look for some such simple thing like that... a flag of some sort, or...?

As I say - any thoughts, comments, suggestions, etc... would be much appreciated.. even pointers to docs, tutorials, and all that good stuff... Thanks!

for the "does the player have a weapon(seeker)"check, i would search for unknown and then drop it, then search next for changed value and pick up the seeker again and repeat the steps. This could help u with the "forced to drop it" problem if u change the addy u find to seem like you are holding regular weapon but on the other hand, you might just find the weapon ID or similar. If u only find the Wep ID, try changing it to an ID thats a normal wep. Dont know if this helps.

PS: I finished the game and its awesome, i would help u find this but i need to reinstal the game first.

Unfortunately, trying both search for unknown, drop, search for changed, pick it up, search for original value, drop, search changed, etc. etc. as well as trying search for 0, pick it up, search for changed, drop, search for 0 again, etc. etc... first one eventually ends up with 0 results, and 2nd one narrows to about 40 or 50, the freezing of which does nothing obvious.

Any other suggestions or pointers much appreciated!

FYI: I was at the point in the gas section when it forces you to drop it, and tricked it into letting me keep the seeker, (with one of the trainers kicking around) which then allowed me to keep it until the end of the game, which was fun anyway. Still would like to get it right from the start, though!
