i undrestand now that learning java by itself is pointless.

i would like to understand better the very core of a cheat engine.

dark byte - you mentioned windows api - what is that, and what should i focus on if i want to be able to create my own cheat engine?

api is "application programming interface"
It's a bunch of functions provided by the OS (or another library) all programs can use
