I have just been curious about programming languages names!
Cause i mean C/C++/C#/JAVA/PYTHON/IRONRUBY... dont really have names that are in anyway a connection with something to do with computers (Hardware&Software)
So is their a reason behind the names that i may not know of or is it just the way it's been?

| Maybe their is and maybe not. C stands for computer and seem okay for C, C#, C++. J# seems okay for Java, VB is okay for Visual Basic, as for Delphi, assembly I have no idea.

No, C is because at first, there was a language called A. That phailed, so some guy made B, which also phailed, so some guy made C, which didn't phail. Some other guy made D, but that hasn't really taken off.

Delphi I would think was named after the Delphi of Greek Mythology or something like that. C++ is a play on operations =P the ++ would mean add to after, so its saying C added, and since C++ came after C, it would be C++.

C++ is considered "c with classes" (though there are other differences). ++ is the increment operator. therefor, an increment of C is C++.
