1. DDR SDRAM was the first; with DDR2 it operates the external data bus twice as fast as DDR, and its the same concept with DDR3.
2. Processors (Central Processing Units; CPUs) are basically the brains of your computer. they analyze the data and execute things, as you probably know there are dual cores, quad cores, etc. they dont have two processors, they are processor cores, so with a dual core it would have 2 cores instead of one. a great dual core processor that is extremely well valued is the Intel Core 2 Duo.
3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127284
it is a PCI-e x16 (PCI-expressx16) slot one, which most modern-day motherboards have, but its always best to make sure and check.
also, there is no need to +rep me, as rep dies away anyhow

DDR3 doesn't operate twice as faster as DDR2
