How do I cheat?

| ok i finnaly fixed my pc, took freakin forever i had to buy new video card and i had to fix my cd/dvd rom drive cause my pc wasnt readin, ok now that thats out the way. i have windows vista (i regret installing it) but no product key so i got to use vista for a long period of time without the key so when my pc broke i wasnt on for a long time then my time expired, so when i log on a black screen appears then a window pops up sayin "Please activate your windows vista product key" so i looked under my computer to get the c.o.d code when i typed it in it said "sorry the product key you typed in is invalid for this activation" but the thing is i never used it before so now i cant do anything on my computer, does anybody have anything that will help, cause i have never used my activation code from the vista box or under my computer. please someone help. or if someone can give me a key gen. or a thing that rewinds the time in the pc. that would be very very appreciated.

Did you use a Vista DVD that was supplied with your current system, or did you download a copy from the internet figuring it would be okay as long as you used the serial number on the bottom of your computer (figuring it's a laptop)?
Laptops/pre-assembled systems are often sold with an OEM operating system. These differ from the 300 dollar unlimited usage versions you will find laying at the hard/software store. The serial keys they associate with are registered online, and when they have been used up to five times they will stop working. Now if you have downloaded a normal Vista DVD and tried to use your OEM serial, it will fail to acknowledge the serial number seeing as how it's a different version.
