i'll probably try and get the cpu to 2.8 or 3 ghz stable, and i'll need somebody to help lol, i've never tried overclocking.

Judging by the reviews I've seen on other forums, they're excellent price/perf, and can give a GTX a run for their money(well the 512MB GT of course.)

Shocked You are willing to spend that much on a 8600, I don't see the point, it's a dead end. You should save money for an 8800GT 514MB, you can get one for around 250$ now. There's also the 8800GT 256MB that SACD pointed out, but with 256MB don't plan to be playing at high resolutions on new games, it wont be enough. Or wait till the 9 series to some out Razz

i think i'll aim for a 8800GT 512mb since they are only that much more.
