				| I had this issue too !, what i did is: 
 I took my box to the living room, open it with a "screwdriver" (lol)
 
 then make sure that it's connected properly, then tell me results !
 
 you might wanna get a lest and clean it up (or a vaccum cleaner), wash the layout ui design too.
 
 clean your room and box every month.

				| ok 4 people told me to check if its connected, i checked, but ill check again a lil better, ill be back in bout 10-15 mins

				| you could try going back into device manager right clicking your nec drive and uninstall it, 
 then restart and see if the drivers are reinstalled ok to see if that will work,
 
 if that still didnt work if you had a spare drive to see if that could work to find out whether its a hardware fault with the dvd rewriter or not,
 
 hardware does break down especially the stuff made in china
