I been googleing around for a "NEC DVD RW ND 3550A" dvd/cd-rom-drive for about 3 hours or so and so far it just gets me a scan for drivers which isnt helpin me out.. any ideas?

According to Google and their site, thats the drives company website. You made mention of needing the driver, thats the driver downloads for their products.

Yeah, i told him to visit the company that made his "whatever it was" and he totally disagree'd to me ;D lmao.
