They can go suck money dick, as for the IP being logged, doesn't work so well when it can be changed within 10 seconds.

They tried shutting down WinMX (if anyone remembers the good old days of that Very Happy) which was quickly revived by random users, mainly seen via Vladd44. His site is still running and I think WinMX probably still works to a point.

Othere then being a basic PHP script, the only other thing they might be doing is logging via the normal server logs. I doubt that they are logging for real and attempting to make an effort to locate you. A lot of sites do this to make you think you are being watched, mostly seen on error pages and what not.

Imagine the amount of money it would cost the government to track everyone down and charge anyway. Plus, it's not like everyone who might happen to stray onto that website downloads files illegally.
