~Deleted from other thread so you can delete it~

You've posted 3 threads about it, delete the other 2. Rolling Eyes

Delete unnecessary files, remove stuff from start (Start>Run>msconfig)

I don't even have that folder anymore, you may want to check it though, before my re-install I checked all my shit and I didn't even have close to a gig in that.

Get information about that folder, why it's there, what it stores, if it should be that large. Look through it too.

http://www.theeldergeek.com/system_volume_information_folder1.htm

Guessing those are system restore points, maybe you should delete some of them, as I don't think you need that many..that explains why I don't have that folder, just reformatted today so no restore points for me.

Find out how to delete (Without fucking anything up, meaning do it the right way) them if you want to free up space.

That is the folder that is used if you ever need to do a system restore.

Use cleanmgr to delete all but the last restore point.

Start -> Run -> cleanmgr.exe

Deleting Restore Points

There are three known safe ways to delete restore points stored on your computer. These ways are described below:

Disk Cleanup - Launch the Disk Cleanup tool and then select the more options tab. On this tab you will find a section for System Restore. If you press the Clean Up button for that section, Windows will delete all restore points except for the most recent one.

Turn off System Restore - Just by turning off System Restore all your restore points will be deleted. Unless you want this to happen, be careful that you don't mistakenly delete all your restore points by disabling system restore.

System Restore runs out of storage space - If system restore runs out of the storage space that has been allocated towards its use, it will delete the oldest restore point in order to create space for the new restore point.
