It comes with a computer or you're highly recommended to create one as soon as you can with your computer, it's in case something fucks up and you need to re-install your OS. It contains the stuff that was on the computer when you got it, anything else you put on it is up to you to back up.

				| new dells don't come with a straight up windows OS disc.
you have to use their shitty software to make it; so unless you have the foresight to do it BEFORE a problem, you're fucked unless you go out and buy one

 Almost true,
You do have software built in the machine to make a recovery cd.
*** But this can only be run one time so be sure you have cd's or dvdr's to make the copy. If you cancel you cant go back and make a copy later.

Now the other thing you can do is call dell and give them all the info on the machine and see if they will send you a recovery cd for that model.
Some charge for the disc some send it free.

				| You can format it directly on Windows. Just log in as administrator and go to system tools and format. Or, just put in your Windows XP disc and install Windows again. Choose the format option. | |
