Hey, I was wondering which Antivirus and Spyware program is the best? I currently use Avast! and was wondering if there was something better. I don't have a spyware program. If you could please leave an explanation also with what you chose, that would be great. Thanx

Not to disapoint some poepl in this thread..
But Avira is not that good =x, lags when update + bad. That is the one that my cousin use.. and he had to reformat 4 times in a year for virus. And i had 2 years without any reformt, just reformat, when the HD are full =x

Update is slow only in the free version, which I don't use.
Plus the free version doesn't detect some types of trojans, etc.
I haven't gotten a virus ever since I've been using Avira;
And the latest results @ Av-Comparatives gave Avira a good score.
By the way, I use Avira Premium Security Suite (Firewall is good for inbound; outbound is OK. Virus defenitions are updated 1 to 2 times a day.) with SUPERAntiSpyware on-demand and DropMyRights.
