of course, it doesn't mean anything in settings->extra will work, nor the speedhack.
Just that you can use the normal functions of ce.
If you need to hack a protected game, you're screwed and better of reinstalling windows xp

it's cheaper to buy one without a os and just use the windows xp install cd you got with your old one.
you can activate it at least 5 times, and even then when you've reached the limit you can phone them and tell them you're now only using it on the new system.
