Just use the Tutorial that comes with Cheat Engine.
Tutorial.exe in your Cheat Engine folder.

Also, if you can't scan, are you using Vista?
If yes, then make sure you have write access and that you're running in compatibility mode.

there are some movies on how to use ce and the tutorial
Check the tutorial section, I think I saw some there a while ago

Please look in the Cheat Engine Tutorials Section.
They're not that difficult to find.
You can also use search, and make it search just in the Tutorials section.

the best bet would be to use youtube, type in the name of the game ur hacking and multiple vids should come. hope this helps
