| subject tells most of it i am afraid to download CE cause its hacking software and cant u get a virus/get in big trouble if ur caught with this software of ur COMP |

The Cheat Engine from http://www.cheatengine.org/download.php will never give you a virus.
The only chance of you getting a virus is from malicious user-made versions.
If any users are found having made a malicious version it is deleted from the forum though.
So don't worry.
Just do not get any Cheat Engine programs from any website other than this.
You cannot get in trouble for having this program on your computer.
This program simply edits a program's memory.
The only way you can get in trouble for using this program is if you use it to get things you pay for, for free.

Vista is the new Windows operating system and no, you don't need Vista for CE to work. Vista doesn't work period. |

You don't need Vista to run Cheat Engine.
In fact, Vista gives a lot of problems with Cheat Engine right now.
Because it isn't supported yet.
It will be in version 5.4, but right now you're much better off using XP.
