|
|
Ok i know i made a lot of topics, but topics have different "topic/idea" and this is a new one... so, here is a question
I know a specific weapon speed is 1500milisec (dont ask how), this weapon speed refers to "attack delay" how do i find the attack delay, and decrease it? last time i tried, it shows numbers go up, so obviously that wasnt it... maybe its not client sided? What if lets say the reload is 2100 miliseconds, how do i find that out, and make it 0 in CE? What if it was damage, how would you do that...??
Note: Questions asked here (a sum up for you) are, Attack Delay, how to find it out?, Reload time, and how to find it out / change it, and damage...
Second question, how do you find WALK speed? because i cant seem to, or jump height or something? But mainly i just cant figure out weapon speed and i REALLY need help with it, i tried the method of shoot, find unknown, shoot find unknown, loop: walk around, find no change, then loop, and shoot and find unknown...
Note: Asking here is how to make walk speed / jump height increased (finding it out and changing)
Any other methods?
Also, 3rd question, how do you make a "thru" wallwalk, so you can noclip? Note: The game im trying to do this on, has spec mode, and "edit" mode (in-game map editing)
Oh 4th question, one more thing, lets say i pick up a powerup that lets me get special "guns" that has a 30 second delay (30 seconds until powerup disappears, and i lose my special gun) how do you find out the time, or make it spawn or something?

Haha, you can always just make one big topic.

The game you're trying to find attack delay for, can your attack speed be increased/decreased.
I mean in a normal situation, not with CE.
Also, what do you mean with "it shows numbers go up"?
Some games have strange ways of storing values.
For example, if you have an attack delay of 10,000.
When you find the value, and attack, you can sometimes see it goes:
[start]10,000, 10,100, 10,200, 10,300, 10,400, 10,500, 10,000[end]
So do not dismiss something just because it doesn't count how you think.

Walk Speed:
Usually you find walk speed by switching between walk/run or by increasing speed - since this is possible in most games.
Jump Height:
If you cannot pause, a character's height can be found by walking/climbing to a higher position.
Usually games store the character's coordinates in x,y,z.
z usually is the height [how high/low on the map] the character is.
So if you're on a flat area of the map, z can = -105 and if you're really high up on a map z can = 231, etc.

In spectator mode, can you go through walls?
If so, switch between spectator/player and keep searching for changed values.
You will have a few to go through but you should be able to find it.
Also, make sure to look if the game has a built-in noclip command.
This will help in finding the value.

Scan for "Uknown Value" before picking it up.
Now wait for a while - do not pick it up.
Scan for "Unchanged Value"
Now pick it up and scan for "Changed Value"
Wait until it runs out and scan again for "Changed Value"
[ You can also try to scan for "Changed Value" when you have it, because the time will be counting down/up]
Then repeat that until you find the value.

Ok... for attack / delay, only thing i can do is switch guns, and it will or should change... but the thing with that is, it seems to function differently with every weapon (when i made infinite ammo, only worked for that gun, so it required me to find all values for every weapon)
Edit - Will EDIT mode work? because there is no no-clip command, unless you are spec

Then you will have to do the method suggested to you.
"shoot, find unknown, shoot find unknown, loop: walk around, find no change, then loop, and shoot and find unknown..."
It will be time consuming, but it should work.
You can try a few things:
1. Find and lock Edit Mode's noclip/no collisions.
2. Find and lock Spectator Mode's noclip/nocollision.
3. Find and nop collisions.

| what do you mean NOP collisions? And i tried that, it seems only the built-in-speed-hack in the CE, works, because when i try that, i basically fail... it shows a shitload of numbers constantly changing, and really big numbers (in millions some of them, or billions)

To nop collisions:
Find the collision addresses and replace them with nop.
Like DarkByte said, timer values are usually very big.
If you're lucky you'll find some in the ten of thousands.

Collisions are the state that a programmer makes to stop objects from going through each other.
Instead, they will collide.
So if person x runs into person y he will push person y out of the way.
Instead of running through him.
The same goes for maps, trees, and other physical objects in games.
