VB and such try and make programming syntax like the english language. It is more versatile if you don't. Programming on the computer should not be like writing a book.

Then is implied. (In basic it is "if-then", in C/++/# it is just "if")

they are more or less the same now, arguably...

even a basic .NET decompiler can decompile a .NET program into any .NET language. So as you can see there they dont have enough difference to matter.

Major one though is that VB has some more functions which C#.NET needs to use the "VisualBasic" object to access from.

C# tends to be the crap out the most "efficient" code of all the .NET languages.

The difference isn't that large between them, but it's there.
