I need to know how to convert a binary value into a hexadecimal value in C++. And by the way, I want it to store its value in a variable, thats it. I dont want it do be displayed on the screen.

Yes I Know how to do it on paper.

1001100 = 4C = 76

1 = 64
0 = 0
0 = 0
1 = 8
1 = 4
0 = 0
0 = 0
64 + 8 + 4 = 4C

4 = 4*16=64
C = 12*1=12
64+12=76

I just can't think of a way to make a function to do this. Well, I might. But it seems like there would be a easier way way to do it.
