i tried my flash game to hack, i freeze my life points and it does. but why is it that i died? what i mean is, is this the effect of server and client sided? thanks a lot for your help......^^

read the sticky in general gamehacking section. Also if its just a flash game it all should be client sided (read the sticky and you understand what i am refering to)

I'm sure its been explained here in depth, but i'll give you a quick review.

CS = Client Side. Basically, its stored in the memory of the program, and is usually changed by tools such as Cheat Engine, or other memory editors. With Offline Games (single player), a simple change of a number here and there can result in GodMode, Unlimited Money, etc, since the only 'Truth' the game knows is what is in the memory.

SS = Server Side. When you play online, your character and its stats (including Money, HP, MP, Str/Con/Agi/etc) are usually all stored in a database. The server then sends this information to your client so you can see it. When it comes to who is right, the server is almost aways right. Thus, if you go in and change your HP on your client to 1000000, but the server says 50, the 50 will be the 'truth' and you'll die if you take more than 50 damage, even if your client says different. Some variables are not stored on the server though, and thus are client side hackable. By finding out which ones these are, you can do things such as Godmode, or duping and the like since there is no server variable check to it
