| Also... You may wish to know that a Float is a number with up to 6 decimal places. Double gets it's name from being twice as accurate as Float, as Double may have as many as 12 decimal places. Binary stands for 0 and 1. Text looks for a character or a string of characters, for example, if you were going to join a server playing on a map called dm_deathmatch and you wanted to swap it with cm_revolution so you could walk through walls and shoot people. You would scan for text then. Array of bytes is a group of integers that all share a common title. |

A byte is composed of 8 numbers. These numbers can only be 0 and 1, for false and true. These 0s and 1s are part of binary. There are many types of bytes, and the way they are arranged determines whether or not they are floats, doubles, long, short, int etc. What do these names mean? They are types of variables. If you remember back to Grade 5/6 you learned about these. Each name represents a different type of variable. For example. A double refers to a number with a lot of decimal places, and is composed of 8 bytes. A float is similar to a double, except it is 4 bytes and doesn't hold as many decimal places. So if you were to have a double holding the value 0.1234567891011 and put/convert it to a float, it would be rouned to (something like) 0.123457. _________________
