I couldn't find the appropriate section to post this so i will post it here since it seems the right section for it.

Its just a suggestion to cut down on some spam.

Suggestion: I've made the same suggestion before but i don't think anyone ever listened to it. The suggestion is to make a at least 10 (or any reasonable number) posts minimum in order for a person to create a topic.

Pros:
*Would help very much with so many new members coming and posting topics which have been discussed before.
*^Leading to cutting down on some of the spam(more new members will be forced to read topics already there instead of pressing the "newtopic" button).

cons: would cause people to reply with crap to threads just to be able to post their topic
e.g a reply to a thread about gamehacking asking why they can't make a topic, or bumping a few thread

Exactly what DarkByte said.
The only way to really cut down on spam is to have more moderators.
Other than that there's nothing you can really do.
People are going to spam regardless, it's just a question of how quickly you can delete, move, or lock it.
