Not as bad as MSi  |
Girlfriend has an MSI. It is quite terrible, but I'd say it's on equal footing with Acer. Especially the casing. I'd say Asus is the way to go.

Oh, of course. I'm given these as gifts so I don't really have a choice in the brand, mind you. The laptop's been broken for almost a year now, stopped using it when I got my tower.

I did this too until the scroll wheel stopped working. But hey, for 10 bucks I'm shocked it lasted 3 years. Now I got a G700 but I had a G400 for 8 months prior.

yeah its lasted a really fucking long time, so long in fact I dont even remember when I got it, might of had it since like 2008
if I were to upgrade id get a g400 or a zowie, depending on how comfortable they are, more likely the g400 because more buttons and cheaper

| The G400 is pretty damn comfy. Someone got me the G700 or I probably would have never changed from the 400. Has a lot of buttons yo.

Um what, MSI and ASUS both make pretty amazing laptops... Acer is agreeably terrible with laptops.
Every brand has bad laptops though, so maybe your girlfriend just bought a bad laptop.

It's coming from me working as an IT consult, having worked in a computer store handling reparations & having experienced what brands suck ass and what brands don't.
