The absolutely best thing you could possibly do is not look at all. Pretty much as I stated, however you put a lot more effort into it. I think this is the best possible way to go about it.
And to OP: I stated you we're trying too hard simply because you we're coming to us for help. If you let other people influence you like that you aren't going to find true love, you're going to find the person who loves what you've become, not who you are.

2. Define what you want most in a dude/chick and try to see if any of your current friends, or friends of friends may fit part/most of that. Then try it from there.
3. Don't start any conversation first, idk how that works for girls but I try to let people thrive for my attention, therefore I hold the power - that's important.
4. Don't let one person put you down, and this is a difficult one, probably the most difficult. It's easy to love someone.
5. Always try to hold the balance of power, if you do that, you're most likely to get hurt least. Sometimes the best way to get someone's attention is to not give them your's. This sort of ties in with #3.
Anyway I'm not really going to sit here and type for ~20 mins trying to stereotype how to get into a good relationship. If you ever need anyone feel free to PM me. I know a lot about relationships and that's a main reason I have so many friends that are girls, because someone is always getting his/her heart broken. The truth is you can't stereotype things that are as dynamic as love. Love isn't definitive.

Or you could grow the fuck up and quit playing childish games. No relationship lasts where you have to fight for control. Either you click and work together or you don't.

| Hey Wania I'm writing a mini-eBook so to say (well just a Google Doc now) and I'd like for you to read it when I'm finished. I'll just link you to the Google Doc URL. Anyway, a lot of my friends irl have read it (mostly girls a few dudes) and everyone seems to really like it. It sort of explains love my standpoint and I think it'll help you out with what you want to look for.
