That's stupid logic. All that matters is what you actually accomplish.

Getting a decent score on your exams is an accomplishment. At least to some.
Then you get in the real world and realize those tests you took were pointless.

right.
It's not like you use those exams to pass school or college to get a better education for a better job or anything.

Taking exams doesn't put food on your table. If you have a goal and are dedicated to reaching it, you will.
If your goal is to do good on an exam, I pity you.

Education system is fucked and needs a new start. All of that 2012 nonsense wouldn't be such a bad thing if it's the only way to change everything.

OK, let's build a scenario. Man A is actually smarter than Man B.

Man A fucked around in school and failed half of his subjects, and also didn't do too well in his passed subjects. Man B did everything asked of him in his school years. He did his homework, studied and achieved high scores in his exams.

Man A applies for a job with his shit CV. Man B applies for a job with his good CV. Common logic would dictate that Man B would get the job due to the superiority of his grades.

Not saying that those without an education couldn't reach the same as those with. That said, the odds are a lot lower for those without a proper education. Not to mention the road towards the same goal would be significantly longer.

Scenario two.
Man B turns out to be useless with his job and don't know how/ isn't fast enough to do his shit and is fired.
Man A gets the job and does everything quickly and efficiently.

Man A decides to start a business of his own; Is successful.
Man B decides to work for man A
Man A fires man B for being shit-tier at his job
Man A does work by himself, cannot keep up, loses his company.

End result? Both are unemployed.

Or...
Man A doesn't focus in school and fails his courses.
Man B focuses, and passes his courses.
Man A decides school isn't right for him and decides to drop out and use his time to do something he enjoys, programming.
Man B continues school and gets some nice degrees in several areas.
Man A continues working on a programming project.
Man B finds a job with good pay.
Man A finishes his project and releases the product for sale.
Man B continues working at his job with good pay.
Man A sells over a million coppies within a year.
Man B gets a raise.
Man A starts up a business and hires some employees to help manage the product and products to come.
Man B is awarded "employee of the month".
Man A's company grows and eventually buys the company that Man B works for.
Man B gets another raise.

The odds of that happening are slim, but that's not to say it's impossible. With the right mindset any smart person can be successful. Inventing, discovering, innovating, etc... the keys to success. School is good for educating those people along the way, though it may have lost touch with its purpose over time.
I'm not saying school can't make you successful, a lot of people get good jobs because of their education. But if you take a look around, most of the (really) successful people didn't reach their status because they did good on exams.

I have a question for Man A.
How did he manage to pay for all of that? I bet he lived with his parent until like 30-40.

Lots of retarded comments here. Did any of you go to school, ever?

You need high grades to get into university. If you don't get good grades, even if you are smart, they will not accept you. This means you won't get a degree, you won't get your dream job.

If you argue with this logic you are retarded as fuck.

I think most here are in denial because they do not have a degree. I'll have my Master of Science degree 1,5 years from now, and have already received more job offers than I can fucking count. Mates of mine who dropped out now all have shit jobs, and one is a salesman in an electronics store.

What most here are talking about is a one in a million chance of making it because of an idea they have that makes them money. And although that may be possible, here is the harsh reality: The reason why an idea might pay off, is because it's unique, good, and well executed. A good idea, contrary to popular believe, is rare to start off with, and because most dropouts do not have the basic knowledge to execute the idea properly, it gets twisted in the process. Thus making it utter shit when it's finally produced.

Even Mark Zuckerberg, although a genius dropout, already completed a few years of his course at University before he decided to drop out and launch Facebook.

I make good grades and plan on going to college. I'm just saying that making good grades on exams isn't as important as actually accomplishing something beyond your education.
